"FIRST SEMESTER: A MUSICAL" 

Book, Music, and Lyrics by Wyn Alyse Thomas

Follows Alicia, a chronic overachiever with undiagnosed anxiety, as she begins her first semester of college. She has high hopes: get straight A’s to put her on the path to a great medical school, start going to therapy, and, what should be the easiest goal of all, don’t date anyone. This musical is an exploration of identity, dating, friendship, girlhood, adulthood, and mental health at one of the most vulnerable stages in one’s life. Recipient of the New Georgia Grant. First Semester is currently undergoing rewrites and is looking for a home for its second workshop production. Contact Wyn for more info.

Interning with Ring of Keys, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting queer women and TGNC artists in the musical theatre industry. Developing skills in project management, budgeting, and communication.
